OnePlus 2 Flagship Smartphone Officially Announced for Rs. 22,999

OnePlus just introduced its latest flagship smartphone dubbed as OnePlus 2 at the world's first VR (Virtual Reality launch) event. The company has announced this smartphone in only 'Sandstone Black' shade. It will be offered in 2 memory variants i.e. 16GB with 3GB RAM costs INR 22,999 ($329) and the price of 64GB variant with 4GB RAM is 24,999 ($389).

The sales are going to start from August 11 and it will be available in UK, US, China, India and EU and is expected to be roll out in Southeast Asia in Q4 of 2015. The 64GB variant would be available first in India on Amazon. On the other hand, the 16GB version will be available later this year. OnePlus 2 will be offered with 4 StyleSwap covers namely, Kevlar, Rosewood, Bamboo and Black Apricot.

Talking about its specifications, it is a dual SIM smartphone which supports only Nano SIM. It is being supported by a 5.5 inch full HD IPS In-Cell display having a picture resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It has been coated with Corning Gorilla Glass protection which is specifically used as a safeguard against scratches and fingerprints. It uses 810 64-bit Octa-Core Snapdragon processor which works with Adreno 430 GPU. Further the processor is joined with two versions of RAM including 3GB and 4GB. The buyers can get this smartphone in two memory variants i.e. 16GB or 64GB. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) based Oxygen OS.

As far as dimensions are concerned, it comes with a height of 151.8mm, a width of 74.9mm and a thickness of 9.85mm. The weight stands at 175 grams. At the home button, there is customizable fingerprint scanner and its capacitive buttons are fully customizable. For the purpose of photography, OnePlus has added amazing 13MP rear shooter which comes loaded with some features like dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Laser Auto focus, 1.3um pixels and OIS.

On the other side, it supports 5MP front camera which is also impressive for selfies and video calls. Apart from these interesting features, it holds some connectivity attributes such as 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), GPS, Wi-Fi direct and USB Type-C. The handset is backed by a 3300mAh battery for uninterrupted usage.
