‘OnePlus One’ Android KitKat Smartphone Officially Announced

OnePlus One has been finally announced by the company and it is expected to blow-away the competition with its top-end specifications. The bookings of the phone are open and it is available in two variants - 16GB and 64GB. Company has priced the 16GB version at $299 and 64GB at $349. This beautiful looking phone comes with a 5.5-inch full HD LTPS display with the resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Its screen is also coated with a Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection. The dimensions of the phone are measured as 152.9x75.9x8.9 mm and it weighs around 162grams.

OnePlus One is running on custom CyanogenMod 11S which is based on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS. At the heart, it has a 2.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB RAM. Storage wise, it has 16GB and optional 64GB of internal memory. On connectivity front, it offers 4G LTE and 3G support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS. Moreover, it comes loaded with a wonderful 13MP rear camera with Sony Exmor BSI sensor, Dual LED flash and a 5MP of front-facing camera. The video recording capacity of the rear camera is 4K.

Other features of the phone includes Privacy Guard which helps you to protect your apps and SMS encryption. It draws a backup from a 3100mAH battery. The company is also expected to  offer swappable back cover with the options of  wooden, kevlar and denim to chose. Firstly, it would be available in 16 countries including Finland, Germany, Denmark, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Spain, US, Portugal, UK, Taiwan, Netherlands and Sweden. Regarding its availability in Indian market there is not any information yet. The company hasn't updated the launch date of the phone yet. But its price is worth according to the features it offers.
