Oppo Officially Launches R1 in India for Rs. 26990

Oppo R1 is official in India now and it is offered at Rs. 26990 (approx., may vary). The company had announced this mid-range smartphone in December 2013 and it was already available to buy online. It is a dual SIM smartphone with dual GSM support. Apart from this feature rich smartphone, Oppo has also announced its flagship smartphone 'FInd 7', which is expected to get launch by mid of 2014. The first device offered by Oppo for Indian market was Oppo N1.

Coming back to Oppo R1, it comes with a 5-inch HD IPS screen at 294ppi with the display resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Its screen is coated with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, it has a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It is also loaded with a 2410mAh battery. Operating system offered in this phone is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It is a slim mobile with the thickness measure of 7.1mm and it weighs only 140 grams.

For shutterbugs, it comes equipped with a 8MP rear camera along with features like BSI sensor and LED flash. While at the front, it has a 5MP camera with 80 degree wide angle lens. Inbuilt memory of the phone is 16GB with no micorSD card slot. In the terms of connectivity, it supports 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It comes with only one color option, a very common Black color. Apart from this launch, the company is planning to launch more smartphones in the near future which will explore the market share of the company. Looking at this mid-range device, it seems that, Oppo will surely join the queue of popular smartphones.
