Free Roaming for AT&T and T-Mobile Customers
AT&T and T-Mobile have agreed to open up to each other's networks in the New York and New Jersey as well to provide the additional service to the customers affected by the Hurricane Sandy. The two carriers, which were part of a failed attempt to convert permanently last year and share similar GSM and UMTS technology that enables cell phones to work on both the networks.
The AT&T and T-Mobile have also reached an agreement to enable the roaming on each other's networks. So, the customers of either carrier will be able to use the other when there will be the necessity of that. In other words, we can say that a T-Mobile customer in an area of New Jersey with no service that will be able to roam on AT&T with the incurring any charges.
