Kobo to Launch Arc Android Tablet in November

Kobo is primarily known for developing eReaders. It is now dabbling in Android tablet development. On the same day when Amazon is expected to announce a successor to its Amazon Kindle Fire tablet, Kobo has also announced a low-budget Android tablet of its own. The Kobo Arc runs Android 4.0. The tablet has a built-in microphone, 7-inch HD display with 16 million colors, speakers with SRS TruMedia sound and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. The Arc has access to more than 600,000 apps in Google Play and comes pre-loaded with Rdio, Twitter,Zinio, Facebook and Pressreader. Kobo says that the Arc can support up to 10 hours of video playback or reading time. The tablet comes in white or black with interchangeable back plates that are blue or purple.
