The previous PayPal application wasn't bad, but it looked outdated and lacked the improved design typically found in newer Android apps. It has addressed that issue with a complete overhaul of the PayPal Android application that follows the Android 4.0 design ethos and adds a few important features. Now PayPal application uses the Holo design that puts navigation at the top of the device. The Account section shows a transaction log of account activity, the Request tab sends messages to other PayPal users to collect money and the Send tab allows users to transfer funds. The new design also features a Profile section where users can link their PayPal account to a debit or credit card by manually entering details or simply taking a picture of the card. It also uses the device's camera to add a photo of the user, which comes in handy with the new PayHere feature.
