Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch launched

The Samsung has unveiled lot of devices this year including 'Samsung Galaxy Note 3'. Now, the latest entry from company is 'Samsung Galaxy Gear'. Company has mainly focused on providing the device with multiple color choices to make it a beautiful looking device.

Feature wise, Samsung Galaxy Gear comes with 1.63 inch Super AMOLED touch screen with the display resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. It runs on Google Android operating system, which is a basic version. At its heart, it has basic single core Exynos 800Mhz processor. It is loaded with 60-70 applications. Most importantly, you will need Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 3  to pair with smartwatch to operate it, as the Samsung Galaxy Gear is not an independent device.

Talking about the body of Galaxy Gear, it consists of plastic materials. It also comes with non-removable 315 mAH battery. To connect with your device it uses the Bluetooth 4.0 and to capture decent quality photos, it is having 1.9MP camera. It also brings microphones and speaker.

Company has priced it for $299 which is double the price of the 'Pebble Smartwatch'. Price of the device is a bit high according to the features it offers. Samsung Galaxy Gear will be available from  September 25, 2013.
