Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Officially Announced for $740

Samsung who always walk a step ahead from other brands, once again announced its flagship phablet, “Galaxy Note 5" in the market today. It carries designing resemblance to sibling Galaxy S6. It is also seen as the upgraded version of the 'Note 4' phablet and has some hardware similarities too. But the latest phablet is slimmer than previous model. There are two variants on offer in this smartphone - 32GB and 64GB.

Feature wise, it comes equipped with Super AMOLED touchscreen at front with QHD resolution. Measurement wise, it has a 153.2mm height, 76.1mm width and 7.6mm thickness along with a 171 grams weight. At the heart, it will pack Exynos 7420 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM. The chipset used in this phablet is owned by Samsung itself which is known as the fastest chipset in the market these days. The operating system version offered in this device is an Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Touchwiz UI.

For the photography, it packs 16MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture sensor, real-time HDR option, optical image stabilization and 2160p video recording. For the front shots, it will offer 5MP camera. In the terms of storage, it has two options 32GB and 64GB internal memory. There is no microSD card support offered on this phone. Unfortunately, company hasn't release its 128GB model this time. For the backup, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 depends upon 3000mAh battery under the hood that features faster charging (wired and wireless).

The Samsung Galaxy Not 5 will be offered in two color options - White Pearl and Black Sapphire. The company has priced the 32GB variant for $740 (INR 48,200) and 64GB model for $840 (INR 54,800). It is available to pre-order and its sales will start from August 21 in US.
