Samsung Gear S Launched in India for Rs. 27,900

Samsung is basically a line up of Android powered mobile gadgets manufactured, designed and marketed by Samsung electronics. As time passed by Samsung started to rise as an international corporation in the 1990's and diversified it's growth in manufacturing mobiles, smartphones, tablets and digital smart watches in its area.

Previously, Samsung has launched  many smart watches like Gear, Gear 2 Neo till date. The newly launched Samsung Gear S is to be remembered for all times. After the launch of this smartwatch, some people are hardly concerned of carrying their smartphones in the pockets. That's because, similar to the phone, the Samsung Gear S has a SIM card slot, phone number and the data connection. The Gear S doesn't require a Bluetooth connection with any phone.

On the other hand, the users can connect the wristwatch to their smartphones via bluetooth in order to receive phone calls, accept notifications and connect to 3G, Wi-Fi and so on. But for this, it requires the connection of a specific kind of phone from the Samsung galaxy series which runs on the 4.3 Android versions or higher.

What makes this wristwatch different from others is, not only it can be connected to smartphones through Bluetooth, but also over the internet. The foremost thing is that with or without your phone around you, the Samsung Gear S permits you to send and receive messages, take or make phone calls and reply to and receive emails.

Coming onto the specifications of this phone, it packs up a display of about 2 inches, Curved Super AMOLED screen with internal memory of 4GB and a RAM of 512 MB. This smartwatch comes with Dual Core 1.0 GHz for fast processing. It also supports Audio formats like MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+ and MP3, M4A, AAC WMA, OGG. This smartwatch has a battery backup of 300mAh Li-ion.

For the connectivity options it supports 2G, 3G Networks, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and USB 2.0. The watch is available in two designs mainly Strap type and Bangle type with two color options that are Black and White.
