Sony Launches Xperia Z in Germany

The new smartphone, Sony Xperia Z is now getting priced in Germany via Amazon Germany, after two British retailers. The Sony IP55/IP57-rated phone is offered for €649 by the retailers on 16GB version. The company didn't say anything about the launch of this smartphone, but it's expected to be launched in next month or March, in Germany. The Xperia Z runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software, boasts a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.

It is a dust-proof and waterproof smartphone which packs a 5-inch Full HD touchscreen display and Mobile Bravia engine. The Sony Xperia Z has a 13MP rear-facing camera with Exmor RS sensor and a 2MP front-facing camera. The phone also features NFC, HSPA, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, a MicroSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, and 4G LTE connectivity. It is hearsay that the Xperia ZL, a sibling handset to the Xperia Z, is not going be launched in Italy and UK.
