Sony Xperia M2 Dual Launched in India for Rs. 22000

As we know, Sony Xperia has launched several smartphones in the Indian market. Now the latest entry from company is the 'Xperia M2 Dual'. Company has also announced it at the Mobile World Congress 2014. It is the successor of 2013 mobile Xperia M. Xperia M2 falls in a slim mobile category with a thickness measured as 8.64mm and it weighs 148 grams.

Talking about its specification, Sony Xperia M2 comes with a 4.8-inch capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 960x540 pixels. Operating system version offered in this smartphone is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Inside, it has a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305GPU and 1GB of RAM. In the terms of storage, it sports 8GB of internal memory and an expandable memory up to 32GB with the help of microSD card.

For the camera lovers, it brings 8MP of rear camera with LED flash, Exmor RS sensor and 0.3MP of front-facing camera. Its rear camera is capable of capturing 1080p video recording. On connectivity front, it offers Wi-Fi, 3G HSPA+ network, NFC, Bluetooth and GPS. Company has fueled it up with a 2300mAh battery.

Considering the features of Xperia M2, it seems that it will give tough competition to the Motorola Moto X and Samsung Galaxy Grand 2. Both these devices are also offering similar features with some cosmetic changes. Where Moto X has a 4.7-inch screen, Grand 2 comes with a higher 5.25-inch TFT display. Moto X runs on Android 4.2.2Jelly Bean OS which is upgradable to 4.4 KitKat OS. It is loaded with a 10MP rear camera which is quite higher than Xperia M2 and 2MP front camera.

Retailing of Sony Xperia M2 will start from April 25 and it is available in three color choice including Purple, White and Black with the price tag of Rs. 21990 (approx may vary).
