Stylish Phone with Basic Functionality

Overview of Nokia 2608

Nokia 2608 is a phone that is made for everyday use. You can plan your everyday tasks with the phone and be complimented for your choice.

Nokia 2608 Design and Build Quality

Nokia 2608 is a clamshell phone with 84x16x42mm dimensions. The phone is sleek and very fresh to look at. Available in Black, Fuchsia, and Silver colours you can select the phone colour, which suits your personality. The black phone has a blue line running the centre, the Fuchsia phone has a pink line running in the centre, and the silver phone has a green line running in the centre. The black and white phones have a black keyboard and black screen frame and fuchsia phone has pinkish beige. The build quality of the phone is quite good but the surface is not scratch resistant which a downside with such a beautiful design is. The screen of the phone is 1.8 inches, with TFT 262K colours with a resolution of 240x320 pixels which gives a pretty decent display for playing standard games and messaging.

User Interface and Comfort to Use Nokia 2608

Standard keyboard with ergonomically placed keys makes this phone very easy to use. The phone has a dedicated wireless internet key and a dedicated radio key, which brings the two most important features that you want in a phone the internet and music easy to access. The phone is fast to respond to command and we did not notice any lag when using the menu options.

Telephony and Phonebook

The phone has an internal memory of 1.5 MB and a capacity of storing 2000 contacts. The phone supports GSM 900/1800MHZ frequency standard 2G network. The phone does not support 3G networks. The call clarity is good in both speaker and hands free modes. On full charge the battery talk time is 3.5 hours.

Gallery, Photo Viewer and Video Player

Phone has an inbuilt gallery, which has some standard Nokia Wallpapers and ringtones. You can select from those to set as a background to the phone screen. The phone supports USB connectivity so you can copy pictures from your phone to the gallery. The phone does not have a video player and a photo viewer.

Nokia 2608 Music Player and FM Radio

The phone does not have a music player, which we feel could have been included in the phone, but stereo FM is very good and catches most of the stations. The audio quality on speakers is ok at medium volume but at high volume, it cracks. The phone has a 2.5mm headset connector which a very strategically placed on the side of the phone.

Nokia 2608 Connectivity Options

The phone does not have Bluetooth, Edge, and GPS but does have a class 10 GPRS with Wi-Fi connectivity options so that you can connect to internet as a faster speed. USB connectivity makes it easier connect the phone to computer and transfer data.

You can easily plan for week using these tools. The phone has some pre-loaded games, which will help you pass time. These include Brick Slider, Aqua Pearls, and Bowling Alley etc.

Web Browser and Applications

Distinctive Features of Nokia 2608

Nokia 2608 has a built in flashlight with is quite powerful. You can easily look for things in the dark and even find your way home on a dark night. The phone also has an active standby feature, which helps preserve battery. The phone has a standby time of 300 hours.
