Nokia Lumia 1525 is the first phablet introduced by the company. The Windows based device was announced in July, 2014. The positive points includes large display, powerful RAM, massive battery and outstanding snapper. It is the successor to Nokia Lumia 1520 and comes with certain improvements in hardware. Display and Dimensions

The smartphone exhibits a stupendous 6-inch IPS LCD multi touch display, with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels supporting 16M colors. The pixel density is 490ppi. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which saves and protects the screen from scratches.

Processor and Operating System

Working on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, the device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor paired up with 3GB RAM and Adreno 420 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). The 3GB RAM has the ability to handle number of applications simultaneously.

Camera and Storage

It brings 20 MP Pureview camera with Carl Zeiss Optics and 1/2.5 inches sensor size along with dual LED Flash. The camera features includes digital zoom, geo-tagging, optical image stabilization, panorama and face detection. The rear camera offers the picture resolution of 5200x3850 pixels. For video calling and selfies, it has 2MP front facing camera which poses a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. It comes packed with 32GB internal storage and the external storage support is upto 128GB through memory card slot.

Connectivity and Battery

Lumia 1525 supports 2G and 3G network and the SIM card type is Nano SIM. The 2G connectivity is through Quad band (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G via Quad band (HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100). Other connectivity options such as bluetooth, USB, GPS, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n are present in the phablet. The smartphone is powered by standard Li-ion 3400 mAh battery which promises to offer a talk-time of 8 hours.

Multimedia

The device comes endowed with multimedia options which includes 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, image viewer, music player, video player, voice recording, video recording and games. It supports media formats such as MP3, eAAC+, WMA, WAV (audio) and DivX, XviD, MP4, H.263, H.264, WMV (video). It also comes added with Dolby Headphone Sound Enhancement for good quality music through headphones. It also comes pre-loaded with applications like 'Twitter and Facebook' I order to have fun with friends.

Messaging and Other Features

For the purpose of mailing and messaging, it offers SMS, MMS, Email and IM services which helps the users to do texts and mails to friends, mates and relatives. There are some basic features available in the device like alarm clock, calendar, clock, organiser, voice memo, voice dialing and SNS integration.
