An Affordable Dual SIM Handset

Loaded with Windows Phone 8.1, the Nokia Lumia 530 is a 3G smartphone announced in July, 2014. It is an affordable dual SIM handset which supports both 2G and 3G network. The device looks very similar to famous Lumia 630, but lacks the performance of its sibling. Considering the price tag, it is an appealing handset and offers great value for money. The box contents includes a charger, battery, handset, USB cable, earphone, user manual and warranty card.

Display and Dimensions

The dual SIM mobile is furnished with a 4-inch TFT display that comprises resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and pixel density of 246 ppi. It is designed by using a bar format. It measures 119.7x 62.3x 11.7mm and weighs 129 grams.

Processor and Operating System

The smartphone is driven by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. Supporting the processor is a Adreno 302 GPU and 512MB RAM. It runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 operating system which is considered as the latest OS.

Camera and Storage

The Lumia 530 packs a 5MP auto-focus rear camera which comes loaded with digital zoom and 1/4" sensor. It delivers a picture resolution of 2592x1944 pixels and you can capture 480 pixels videos at 30 frames per second. As there is no front facing camera, the user can use voice commands to take selfies with the main camera using the 'Glam Me App'. It contains 4GB of internal memory which is further extended up to 128 GB via memory card slot. It also comes loaded with 15GB free One Drive cloud storage space.

Connectivity and Battery

The device houses a Li-Ion 1430 mAh battery which is able to deliver up to 10 hours of talktime and up to 528 hours of standby time. It comes with bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, A-GPS, GPS with GLONASS, microUSB v2.0, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity features. Both the SIM slots supports Micro SIM.

Multimedia and Other Features

Nokia Lumia 530 Dual comes equipped with multimedia features such as 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, image editor, music player, video player, video recording, voice recording and games. Other features present on the phone are FM radio, alarm clock, active noise cancellation, calendar, organiser, SNS integration, voice memo and voice dialing. For messaging and mailing, the user can enjoy the service of SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email and IM. It also comes pre-loaded with applications like Facebook and Twitter in order to interact with people around the world.
