XonPhone 5 is an android smartphone introduced by Taiwanese device maker Oplus in July, 2014. In order to establish itself in an Indian market, the company has added number of attractive features at an affordable price in the handset. The device is good in performance and has the latest Android platform. It comes in a pack with charger, handset, headset, micro USB, user manual, battery and warranty card.

Display and Dimensions

The handset carries a wide 5-inch IPS LCD display with HD (High Definition) (720x1280 pixels) resolution. It looks very sleek and classy with its square corners. The dotted finish on the rear panel helps you to hold the device properly. Also the sensors used include light sensor for automatic display brightness, proximity sensor, Accelerometer sensor, G sensor for motion gaming and e-compass for better navigation features. The bar style smartphone has got a height of 143mm, a width of 71.5mm and a thickness of 7.8mm.

Processor and Operating System

It is a compelling phone when it comes to specifications and features. It is endowed with latest android version which is Android v4.4 KitKat. It is possessed by a 1.3 GHz quad core processor paired with 1GB RAM, MTK 6582 chipset and Mali 400 MP GPU.

Camera and Storage

The XonPhone 5 has dual camera, the primary camera is of 8MP with LED flash, auto-focus and full HD video recording etc. It is capable to shoot 720p videos at 30 frames per second. The 2MP secondary camera is an advantage as you can do video calls or can click selfies or can make self portraits. There is 16GB internal storage which can be stretched upto 32GB by the support of microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The user can be connected through features or attributes such as 3G, A-GPS, bluetooth, GPS, USB, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot support. It houses a 2000 Li-ion mAh battery for a decent talktime as well as stand-by time.

Multimedia and Other Features

The device supports several multimedia features like 3.5mm audio jack, image viewer, music player, video player, voice recording, video recording, FM radio and games. Other basic features offered by the company include alarm clock, calendar, clock, organiser, SNS integration, voice memo and voice dialing.

The Oplus XonPhone 5 is available in trendy shades like Silver, Grey and Gold which gives cool options to choose from. It is priced at Rs. 8000.
