Panasonic P55 Novo is a new P series smartphone from Panasonic. It was released in July, 2015. It is designed for the users who want portable entertainment and stylish handset on affordable price. It comes loaded with some extra features like Smart IR based remote control function, Fade mop- image editor, smart swipe, gesture play infinite, smart awake and kwik lock. In the sales package, it contains handset, charger, USB cable, user manual and leatherette flip cover. The main competitors of this smartphone selling in the market are Moto G, Micromax Canvas Hue and Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus.

Display and Design

The smartphone sports a 5.3-inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen at front which offers a display resolution of 1280x720 pixels. It flaunts a color depth of 16 million. The display is ideal for watching videos, games and pictures with rich clarity. Measurement wise, it has a height of 147.9 mm, width of 73.8 mm and thickness of 8.15 mm. Overall, it has a sleek and stylish outlook. It requires careful handling while use because of its big screen size and slim body.

Processor and OS

It is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-core processor and 1 GB RAM. The RAM unit is less as compare to other smartphone of this segment. Even, some of the smartphones below 6000 also support 1 GB RAM. So, this might goes against the handset. Running the device is an older version of Android OS 4.4 KitKat.

Camera and Memory

The camera fitted on back frame of the phone is of 13 MP. It offers amazing picture quality and is capable of recording full HD videos. The other camera features are Triple LED flash, auto-focus, digital zoom and geo-tagging. All these feature make photography more fun. For the selfies, it too have good 5 MP camera on front panel. For the storage of important stuff, it comes loaded with 8 GB internal memory and 32 GB expandable memory via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity attributes of the smartphone includes Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, USB, EDGE and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It allows faster browsing and apps like Facebook, Twitter comes pre-loaded on the phone. The SMS, MMS, Email and Push Mail are some of its messaging features. For the backup, it depends upon 2500 mAh battery which is rated to deliver day long normal use.
