Overview

3G Based Affordable Tablet For Everyone

Salora Protab is a 3G based affordable tablet released in January, 2013. It has a good display with decent configuration. It gives a magnificent blend of features at a low price to offer a tough competition to the 'Karbonn Smart Tab 7 Tornado' which is backed by a similar processor equipped with an Ice Cream Sandwich operating system in the same price range. It supports 3G network and is available in 'White' shade at a price of Rs. 4,999. The box contents includes a charger, tablet, OTG cable, USB cable, ear phone, user manual and warranty card.

Display and Dimensions

The tab boasts a 7-inch LCD display which has got a resolution of 480x800 pixels along with 16 million color depth and 130 ppi pixels density. It also features accelerometer sensor. It offers a great viewing experience while chatting, surfing and playing games on its wide screen. Talking about its dimensions, it is measured as 196x121x9.9mm and carries a weight of 290 grams.

Camera and Storage

From the camera point of view, it flaunts a 0.3MP rear shooter supporting digital zoom. It offers a picture resolution of 640x480 pixels. On the front panel, it has no camera for video calls. It has an inbuilt storage capacity of 4GB along with a microSD slot that can expand the memory up to 32GB.

Processor and Operating System

Under the hood, it carries a 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor. It operates on Android v4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The CPU is supported by a RAM of 4GB enabling you to enjoy decent multi tasking.

Connectivity and Battery

Connectivity attributes loaded in the smartphone include bluetooth, microUSB, GPRS, EDGE and Wi-Fi 802.11a/ b/g/n. It promises a uninterrupted power supply with the help of a 3200 mAh Li-Po battery.

Multimedia and Other Features

For the entertainment of the users, the company has added certain multimedia features like 3.5mm audio jack, image viewer, music player, video player, games, video and voice recording. It comes packed with some other additional features such as 3G dongle support via USB, pendrive connectivity, adobe reader, Google maps, play store, Gmail, Skype and YouTube. It also comes equipped with pre-loaded application like 'Facebook'
