Galaxy Ace 2 is the slimmer and lightweight device launched by popular manufacturer Samsung in May 2012. It is a single SIM device and falls in a mid-range phones category. It comes in a pack with battery, USB cable, user manual, charger, earphone and warranty card.

Design and Display

The Ace 2 comes equipped with a generous 3.8-inch PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen with a display resolution of 480x800 pixels and a color depth of 16M. The 246 ppi pixel density enables a rich and bright view of screen. It has a length of 62.3mm, width of 118.3mm and thickness of 10.5mm along with a weight of 118.5 grams as its dimensions. And like its siblings, this phone too have one hard button at front.

Processor and Memory

To deliver a smooth functioning and good performance, it has a 800MHz Dual-core processor, NovaThor U8500 chipset and a Mali-400 GPU coupled with a 768MB RAM. It operates on Android v2.3 Gingerbread operating system which can be upgradable to better v4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. Samsung has also added some sensors in this phone such as Accelerometer, proximity and compass. In the terms of storage, it has an internal memory of 4GB and an expandable memory of up to 32GB via microSD card.

Camera

It boasts a 5 MP rear camera which provides a picture resolution of 2592x1944 pixels. It also features LED flash, geo-tagging, auto-focus, face and smile detection for better picture quality. You can also view as well as record HD videos of 720p at 30fps. It also brings VGA secondary camera for selfies.

Music and Sound

Ace 2 offers many source of entertainment to its users like FM Radio, Music Library, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, SoundAlive sound effect and background music play option. The audio play format supported by the phone are MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV, OGC, M4A, FLAC, MIDI and AAC+.

Telephony and Messaging

Ace 2 facilitates you better messaging experience with its clearer screen view. You can send SMS, MMS and Email through this phone. The phone also come equipped with some features like Predictive text input, image editor, organize, document editor, voice memo/dial, Picasa, Calender, Google search, Maps, YouTube and Google talk etc.

Connectivity & Battery

For the user connectivity, it supports GPS/GLONASS, GPRS, EDGE, optional NFC, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot and v2.0 microUSB. For good performance, Galaxy Ace 2 come loaded with a Li-ion 1500 mAh battery which gives a 2G talktime of 16 hours 20min along with a 3G talktime of 7 hours 30 min. The 2G and 3G stand-by time provided by battery is 670 hours and 640 hours respectively.

Shades

There are three color options offered by company for this phone which includes White, La Fleur and a very common Black.
