Galaxy Alpha is one of the most beautiful smartphones launched by the Samsung. It was announced in August 2014 and was released in September, 2014. It has adequate power under the hood to offer a seamless performance while playing HD games. It is an interested product for those who tired of company's plastic phones. The features and specifications are mentioned below:

Display and Dimensions

It features a 4.7 inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and a pixel density of 312 ppi which delivers crisp and vibrant visuals. It carries a sophisticated outlook without comprising on the functionality. The rear side is surrounded by real metal along with soft touch plastic makes it easy to hold and carry. Being just 6.7mm thick, Galaxy Alpha is definitely the most meagre Galaxy smartphone till now. It carries a height of 132.4mm, a width of 65.5mm and holds a weight of 115 grams.

Processor and Operating System

The Galaxy Alpha S801 is boosted by a 2.5 GHz Quad- core Krait 400 processor loaded on Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset. It is backed by 2GB RAM and manages rich graphics with the Adreno 330 GPU. The smartphone runs the Android v4.4.4 KitKat operating system.

Camera and Storage

It flaunts a 12MP rear autofocus shooter which has a resolution of 4128x3096 pixels and is capable to record 2160p videos at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120fps. It supports features such as face detection, geo-tagging, LED flash and smile detection. On the front side, one can find a 2.1 MP snapper for video calls and selfies. It has inbuilt memory of 32GB devoid of any memory card slot.

On the connectivity front, it comes equipped with advanced features including 3G, 4G, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-FI. It is powered by a Li-Ion 1860 mAh battery which is rated to deliver a talktime of upto 13 hours and standby time of upto 312 hours on 3G network.
