Samsung Galaxy Core i8260 is a candybar smartphone by Samsung which was first announced on May, 2013 and released in June 2013. It comes in a pack with a Li-Ion 1800mAh battery with a 2G and 3G stand-by time of up to 500 hours and up to 300 hours respectively and a 2G and 3G talk time of up to 14 hours and up to 9 hours respectively, a charger, a 3.5mm headset, a USB cable and a user guide. It has a height of 129.3mm, a width of 67.6mm and a thickness of 8.95mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 124gms and runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G(UMTS 900/2100 MHz) network frequencies. It is available in two beautiful shades which includes Chic White and Metallic Blue at a price of INR 12,500.

Samsung Galaxy Core i8260 has a 4.3-inch, capacitive and multi-touch, TFT touchscreen with a WVGA resolution of 480x800 pixels, 16 million colors display and 217ppi pixel density. It has a 1GB RAM and an internal memory of 8GB out of which 4.5GB is available for user and which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card. It is an Android v4.1.2, Jelly Bean OS based smartphone with a dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A5 processor, a Qualcomm MSM8625 Snapdragon S4 Play chipset, an Adreno 203 GPU and a few sensors such as accelerometer, gravity, compass and proximity.

It has also got a HTML5 browser, FM radio with RDS, GPS with A-GPS support, Java via MIDP emulator, an organizer, an image viewer/editor, a video viewer/editor, a document viewer/editor, Google maps, Google apps, voice memo/dials/commands, tethering, predictive text input, computer sync, OTA sync, a loudspeaker and a 3.5mm jack along with supported audio formats of .mp3, .aac, .eaac, .flac, .wma, .wav, .m4a, .amr and .ogg and supported video formats of .mp4, .wmv and a few others.

Samsung Galaxy Core i8260 has a 5.0MP rear camera with a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels, digital zoom, auto-focus, touch focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, White balance presets, panorama mode and burst mode and can play as well as record videos of 480p@30fps. It also has a 0.3MP VGA front camera with a resolution of 640x480 pixels and video calling which can play as well as record videos . For messaging, it has SMS, MMS, E-Mail, Push E-Mail, IM, RSS and SNS integration. For data, it includes a GPRS and EDGE, WLAN feature with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Wi-Fi Hotspot, a v3.0 Bluetooth with A2DP, a v2.0 microUSB port and 3G speeds of HSDPA 7.2Mbps and HSUPA 5.76Mbps.
