Feature Rich and Camera - Centric Smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is an unusual combination of an excellent camera with a smartphone. The chief attraction of this device is its hi-tech camera. The phone performs really well. It was announced in April, 2014.

Design and Build Quality

Samsung Galaxy K Zoom's back panel has a rubberised finish and features a zoom camera that grabs the attention of masses. The phone requires careful handling with its large camera. It comes equipped with a Li-Ion 2430 mAh battery which lasts longer even with extensive use.

User Interface and Comfort to use

There is a single centrally placed hard button present below the screen which is surrounded by one soft key on its left and other on its right. Galaxy K Zoom comes with a screen size of 4.8-inch which provides a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. In terms of hardware, it comprises of a Quad-core 1.3 GHz, Dual-core 1.7 GHz processors along with a massive RAM of 2GB. It runs on the latest version of Android v4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

Telephony and Phonebook

Galaxy K Zoom supports 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900), 3G (HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100) and 4G (LTE 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600) network frequencies. It has a capacity to store an unlimited number of contacts. The phonebook also features voice dialing, SNS integrations, contact history and gives superb call quality.

Messaging and Emails

There is messaging and email facility available for Galaxy K Zoom which includes SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, RSS and IM. All of these enables you to send and receive data. The device also features predictive text input (Swype) for typing.

Camera and Image Quality

In the department of photography, the phone scores extremely good with a primary shooter of 20.7MP which provides an excellent photo resolution of 5248x3936 pixels. It is featured with some additional features like 10x optical zoom, auto/manual focus, 1/2.3'' sensor, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, HDR, panorama, Xenon and LED flash. The secondary camera has a 2 MP count. The camera delivers an amazing picture quality.

Multimedia

The phone handles HD content, be it games or movies, effortlessly. It comes with an impressive music player with an easy to use interface. The sound is loud and clear with the twin loudspeakers and even better with the supplied headphones. One can record 1080p videos on to the device.

Connectivity options

The phone supports 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, NFC and micro USB. It has a support for A-GPS and GLONASS also which helps in navigation. Galaxy K Zoom comes pre-loaded with some of the Google apps like Google search, Gmail, Google Talk, Picasa, YouTube, Calender, Maps, Document viewer, Photo viewer and editor.
