Samsung Galaxy S5 Quad-Core is the latest micro SIM Android touchscreen smartphone by Samsung Electronics which was first showcased at 2014 MWC in Barcelona, Spain in February, 2014 as a successor of Galaxy S4 and was launched in April, 2014. It came in a pack with a headset, a data cable, an user guide and a powerful and removable Li-Ion 2800mAh battery with a standby time of up to 390 hours and a talk time of up to 21 hours. It has got a height of 142mm, a width of 72.5mm and a thickness of 8.1mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 145gms. It runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz), 3G(HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100 MHz) and 4G(LTE 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz) network frequencies. It is available in four shades which includes Black, White, Blue and Gold at a price of INR 51,500 (approx., may vary) along with Samsung's three new wearable devices which includes the Gear Fit, Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Quad-Core has got a 5.1-inch, capacitive and multi-touch super AMOLED touchscreen with a full HD resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, 432ppi pixel density and corning gorilla glass 3 protection along with TouchWiz user interface. It has got a RAM of 2GB along with an internal memory of 16GB/32GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. It has an Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, an Adonis Prime2(quad-core 1.9GHz + quad-core 1.3GHz) processor, an Exynos 5422 chipset, an ARM Mali T628 MP6 GPU, some remarkable sensors such as accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, hall, RGB ambient light, gesture, fingerprint and heart rate sensor, an Ultra Power Saving Mode, an IP67 certified dust and water resistant, S Health, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, USB 3.0, NFC, an infrared port, WLAN feature with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi direct and hotspot, GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS, a 3.5mm audio jack, a loudspeaker and many more features.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Quad-Core has also got a 16MP rear camera with phase detection auto focus, LED flash, dual shot, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, HDR, image stabilization and UHD video recording at 30fps with video stabilization and video HDR. It is also equipped with a 2.0Mp front camera with wide-angle lens for selfies, video calling and full HD video recording.
