The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is a new offering of the company in very popular Galaxy series. It inherits many of its features from sibling Galaxy S6. However, the latest smartphone comes with some interesting upgrades like water and dust resistant along with shock resistant feature. Not only this, it also comes loaded with more powerful battery to support more backup time which is the foremost demand of the users. It packs big screen, wonderful camera, powerful processor and ofcourse huge memory space to store data efficiently. Let's take a brief look of its specification below:

Display and Design

The front frame of the phone features a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with 576ppi pixel density that provides you true life clarity while watching movies, pictures and other stuff. It is IP68 certified device which make it live even in up to 1.5 meters of water. It is one of the major difference one can notice in this latest Galaxy. The one thing which goes against this smartphone is its three physical buttons on the bottom bezel which many of the users don't prefer.

Processor and OS

The S6 Active runs on an Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system which is a latest version of the OS. It is powered by a Octa-core (Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57) processor, Exynos 7420 chipset and MAli-T760 GPU. It is coupled with 3 GB RAM to handle all the operations with ease.

Camera and Memory

The smartphone comes equipped with 16 MP rear facing camera for the wonderful photography. The Auto HDR feature of the camera let you click clear pictures in dark conditions. The wide-angle lens featured 5 MP camera is also there on front frame for amazing selfies. Both the cameras are capable of recording as well as playing full HD videos. For the storage, it support 32 GB internal memory along with a microSD card support.

Connectivity and Battery

The phone works on 2G, 3G and 4G network frequencies which means user can enjoy faster surfing and downloading. The other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB is also there. It also come pre-loaded with some activity tools like flashlight, compass feature, stopwatch and many more. For the backup, company has loaded 3500mAh unit battery under the hood that supports wireless charging and lot more features.
