The Spice Buddy 500 is a regular bar shaped budget smartphone by Indian company, Spice, which is also known as one of the earliest company to manufacture mobile phones. The Buddy 500 was released in June, 2014 and it comes loaded with 1GHz processor, 5-inch screen, 2.0MP camera and 256 MB internal memory. It comes in a pack with charger, user manual, headset, battery, warranty card and USB cable.

Display and Dimensions

The Buddy 500 comes with a 5-inch multi-touch screen which provides clear display of any photo, video or text file on your device. It responds very beautifully to multi-touch gestures and its bar shaped design make it very comfortable to hold. The dimensions of the phone are measured as 145mm long, 73.2mm wide and 10.3mm thick along with a weight of 185 grams.

Camera and Memory

The device holds a primary camera of 2MP with zoom and flash feature. It allows you to click pictures of 1600x1200 pixels resolution. On the front, it includes 1.3MP camera for the selfies of acceptable quality. In terms of storage, it supports 128MB RAM, 256MB internal memory and microSD card support of up to 4GB for the additional storage.

Connectivity and Battery

The Buddy 500 works on 2G (GSM 900/1800 MHz) network frequency, it doesn't support 3G and 4G network. For the user connectivity, it has got Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE and it also support Bluetooth for the wireless data sharing. The phone derives a back up from 1450mAh battery.

Multimedia

The device comes pre-loaded with some apps like Whatsapp, VAS app and spice cloud. The personal information management tools like alarm clock, calculator and calendar are also present on the phone. For the messaging and mailing, the phone supports services like MMS and SMS. For the user entertainment, it has got a FM radio, games and music player.
