Spice Mobiles is one of the fastest growing mobile manufacturing company in India. It is listed in NSE/ BSE and has 4% - 5% share of the mobile market. Its Spice Flo Entertainer2 M-5916 is a basic featured phone that got announced in the year 2013. Its box contents includes a handset, battery, handsfree, charger, USB cable, user manual and warranty card.

Design and Display

It is a bar type touchscreen phone that looks decent. Its front panel has a 3.5 inch capacitive screen and a single hardware home button at the bottom. Its dimension figures includes a height of 125.5 mm, a width of 68 mm and a thickness of 12.6 mm. Having a weight of only 95 grams, this phone is easy to hold and carry.

Memory

It can store 500 SMS and 1000 records in the phonebook. Its memory can be expanded up to 8 GB with a microSD card.

Telephony and Messaging

It is Dual SIM phone that works on the Proprietary Operating System. Both the GSM connections remain active all the time and operate on 2G GSM 900 / 1800 MHz frequencies. On the messaging part, user can use the T9 dictionary to type a SMS.

Camera

It has a rear snapper of 1.3 MP with zoom facility that provide a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels. You can also record videos with the camera.

Entertainment

For the music buffs, it has the music player and the wireless FM radio. The reception of FM is satisfactory and the play quality of various audio formats like mp3 and midi is good. Additionally, the device also supports 3gp and mpeg4 video formats and the performance of the device on this count too is quite satisfactory. User can set polyphonic and mp3 ringtones for the phone or can switch to vibration mode.

Connectivity and Battery

Talking about connectivity, the handset is WAP / GPRS enabled. The WAP settings come pre-installed for major telecom operators, so you just need to insert the SIM and start browsing the internet. User can also use the Bluetooth feature to transfer files wirelessly or can use the USB support for PC synchronization. The phone packs a Li-ion battery of 1000 mAh which is pretty good.
