Spice Mobility is one of the fastest growing mobile manufacturing company in India. It is listed in NSE / BSE and has 4 % - 5 % share of the mobile market. It has recently announced its Spice Stellar Mi-361 which falls in the category of Android based budget smartphones. Its box contents includes a handset, battery, handsfree, charger, USB cable, user manual and warranty card.

Design and Display

The smartphone features a nice curvy body designed in a bar format having a weight of 118 grams only. The front panel consists of a 3.5 inches capacitive touchscreen displaying pictures at a resolution of 320x480 pixels. The long speaker grill added at the bottom of the screen, gives a unique look to the phone. The dimension figures of Stellar 361 includes a height of 115.3mm, width of 60.6 mm and thickness of 11.9 mm.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, it carries a 1.3 GHz Dual Core processor with the support of 256 MB RAM and Android v4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. To store files and applications, it has 512 MB of on-board storage and online storage on Spice Cloud. This internal memory can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card.

Telephony and Messaging

Spice Stellar Mi 361 operates on 2G and 3G network frequencies. Being a Dual SIM handset, it can carry two network connections at the same time. For messaging, it features SMS, MMS, Email and IM. Additional features includes voice memo, voice dial, picture caller ID, caller group, handsfree etc.

Camera

For the camera seekers, it has assembled a 2 MP rear shooter which can take decent pictures at a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The LED Flash feature with it, further enables taking shots in low light conditions. The camera can be turned to a Camcorder to record VGA videos. For the selfies and video chatting, there is a 1.3 MP front snapper as well.

Entertainment

To keep the users entertained, it offers a music player, video player, sound recorder, FM radio, embedded games and editors for both images and videos. Also to make the full use of Android environment, it supports various applications and social networking sites like Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, YouTube, Google Play, VAS apps etc.

Connectivity and Battery

Its connectivity attributes includes a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS and EDGE.  Along with that you can use Bluetooth or microUSB connectivity to share files with compatible devices. Stellar 361 also has GPS system with support of A-GPS to have accurate navigation when stuck at unknown places. On the battery front, it carries a Li-ion 1400 mAh battery.
