Spice has announced a new smartphone called the Stellar Mi-520 in July, 2014. The handset comes packed in a box with a charger, battery, earphone, USB cable, user manual and warranty card. Let's check out the phone in detail.

Design and Display

The Stellar Mi-520 is a good looking phone which is designed by using a compact bar form factor. Even though it supports a large display, the device is slim (9.5mm in thickness) and easily fit into one's palm. It weighs around 175 grams. The front of phone is dominated by a IPS capacitive touchscreen of 5.0-inches which provides a HD resolution of 1280x720 pixels.

Hardware and Software

The device is powered by a Quad-core 1.3 GHz processor coupled to a RAM of 1 GB. It has an internal memory of 4 GB which can be expanded to another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. It runs on the latest Android version 4.4 KitKat operating system. The phone has enough power to handle apps that are thrown on its way.

Telephony and Messaging

This dual SIM phone operates on 2G (GSM 900/1800 MHz) and 3G (HSDPA 2100 MHz) network frequencies. The user can store a huge number of contacts to its phonebook memory. For messaging, it has SMS, MMS, IM and email services.

Camera

The Stellar Mi-520 has a 8 MP rear camera which is capable of capturing 3264x2448 resolution pictures and is featured with a LED flash, auto-focus and digital zoom. The VGA front-facing camera is also there for video chatting purposes.

Connectivity and Battery

The networking and connectivity options loaded in the phone includes GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, micro USB, hands-free, GPS and A-GPS. It is packed with a Li-ion 2000 mAh battery to ensure a better usage time.
