Spice has a range of budget smartphones in its Xlife series. The Spice Xlife 406 is one of the member of this series which was announced in July, 2015. It comes with quite amazing specs which one can not imagine in the budget segment. It has 4-inch screen, dual core processor, 4 GB internal memory, 3.2 MP main camera and Li-ion battery. It is good option for the beginners or the buyers who want to switch their featured mobiles.

Display and Design

It features a 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen at front which has a display resolution of 800x480 pixels. It flaunts a pixel density of 233ppi and the display quality is just acceptable. But it is good for enjoying videos, movies etc. Measurement wise, it has a height of 124 mm, width of 63.2 mm, thickness of 10.8 mm. The device is bit bulky and it might cause difficulty in holding for long hours.

Processor and OS

For delivering power to the smartphone, company has loaded 1GHz processor under the hood with Mali 400 MHz GPU. It is sufficient for running few applications smoothly. The operating system version offered in this phone is an Android 4.4 KitKat.

Camera and Memory

It is equipped with 3.2 MP camera on the back panel with LED flash feature that makes photography possible in dim light conditions. It also capable of clicking front shots with its 1.3 MP front camera. Though the quality of the front shots is just okay. For the storage, it comes loaded with an internal memory of 4 GB which can be further expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The smartphone offers a GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi as its connectivity options. It also allow its user SMS, MMS and Pushmail service. For the entertainment, it brings 3.5 mm jack and audio player along with FM Radio. For the backup, it depends upon 1450mAh battery.

Shades and Price

The Spice Xlife 406 has only two color options - White and Black. The MRP of the smartphone is INR 3,799.
