BlackBerry Z30 is a big screen smartphone by BlackBerry announced on September 18, 2013. It is the first handset by company which is running on the latest version 10.2 of BB 10 operating system. The phone packs a powerful processor, wonderful camera and large memory for the storage.

Display and Dimensions

The Z30 comes with a 5.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen along with a 720x1280 pixels resolution, 16M colors depth and 294ppi pixel density that ensures a clear view of pictures, videos, games and texts without any stress to eyes. The screen responds to multi-touch gestures instantly. The length, width and thickness of the phone is measured as 140.7mm, 72mm and 9.4mm respectively. The weight of the phone is 170 grams which is quite high in comparison with other smartphones. Some sensors like gyro, proximity, compass and accelerometer are also present on the phone.

Processor and OS

The phone comes loaded with a powerful 1.7GHz dual-core processor, Qualcomm MSM8960T pro Snapdragon chipset and Adreno 320 GPU along with a 2GB RAM to provide ample room to the data that require fast access. It is running on the BlackBerry 10.2 OS which is also upgradable to 10.2.1.

Camera

To capture your precious moments and save on your phone, Z30 comes equipped with a great 8MP camera on the back with some special features like LED flash, auto-focus, geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization and HDR. The highest resolution you can set for the pictures is 3264x2448 pixels. On the front panel, it offers 2MP camera which is sufficient for the good quality video calling and selfies. You can also record as well as play videos on this phone, the rear camera is able to capture videos of 1080p@30fps while the front camera record videos of 720p@30fps.

Memory 

In the terms of memory, the phone comes loaded with a 16GB inbuilt memory to store your essential data including contacts, audios, pictures and messages. You can also expand the storage level up to 64GB with the help of microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The phone offers GPRS, EDGE and Wi-Fi to browse the internet at HSDPA, HSUPA and LTE speed. To connect with other devices, it has got a USB port and 3.5mm audio jack along with a bluetooth for wireless data sharing. It packs a powerful Li-Ion 2880mAh battery under the hood which provides a 3G standby time of up to 384 hours and 2G talktime of up to 25 hours along with up to 18 hours of 3G talktime.

Multimedia

The device supports FM Radio, video player, music player and loudspeaker to keep you entertain in free time. You can send SMS, MMS, Email, IM, BBM 6 through this phone to stay connect with your friends. Other productivity tools like BlackBerry maps, document editor, photo/video editor, voice memo/dial and organizer are also present on the phone.
