XOLO Omega 5.5 is a new smartphone in Omega series launched by XOLO in December, 2014. The compact form factor and sheer slimness of phone will amaze you. It comes with 5.5- inch display, octa-core processor, KitKat OS, wonderful 13MP camera, 1GB RAM and powerful battery. It has a dual SIM configuration which lets you differ your personal and professional life. The sales package contains handset, battery, charger, user manual, warranty card, earphone and USB cable.

Display and Design

The Omega 5.5 as its names suggest, comes with 5.5- inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen which has a display resolution of 1280x720 pixels and it responds to 5- finger multi- touch gestures beautifully. It provides clear and rich visuals through 16M color depth and 267ppi pixel density. Measurement wise, it has a length of 155.5mm, width of 76.6mm, thickness of 10.6mm as its dimensions. It also come built with some sensors like accelerometer, proximity and ambient light.

Processor and OS

The phone packs a 1.4GHz Octa- core MediaTek MTK6592M processor, Mali 450 GPU along with 1GB RAM under the hood to control the basic operations. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system based on HIVE UI.

Camera and Memory

For the photography, it comes equipped with 13MP camera at the back panel which also features LED flash, EXMOR RS sensor and 5P lens to provide quality pictures. It provides a picture resolution of 4128x3096 pixels and is capable of recording full HD videos. While at front, it has 2MP camera for the selfies. For the storage purpose, it has 8GB internal memory which can be further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The phone offers EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi and 2G/3G network frequencies for the user connectivity. There is also Bluetooth and USB cable for the sharing of data and GPS for the navigation purpose. The battery ticking inside the phone is of 2600mAh unit which is rated to deliver 2G talktime of around 30.8 hours and stand- by time of 779.5 hours. While it promises a 3G talktime and standby time of upto 13.3 hours and 749.2 hours respectively.
