3G Based Budget Smartphone With Basic Specifications

XOLO Q1001 is a new addition of XOLO in its budget smartphones lineup. It was announced in March, 2015. It supports 3G connectivity and also has dual SIM configuration. It comes with basic specifications like most of budget smartphones own. It packs a 5-inch screen, quad-core processor, entry level RAM, KitKat operating system, LED flash featured main camera and expandable storage support. The brief description of its specification is given below:

Display and Design

The phone features a rectangular design and gives the curves a miss for being an elegant looking device. It adorns a large 5-inch FWVGA IPS display which provides a screen resolution of 854x480 pixels. It is ideal for the rich and clear visuals of pictures, texts, videos etc. The body of the phone measures a height of 143 mm, width of 73.2 mm and thickness of 9.5 mm. The phone requires careful handling while using and carrying.

Processor and OS

At the heart, it packs a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, MediaTek MT6582M chipset and 512 MB RAM. Together, they perform all the basic operations. But 512 MB RAM is not capable of providing fast speed. The operating system version offered in this phone is Android 4.4 KitKat.

Camera and Memory

For the camera lovers, it has got a 5 MP camera at the back panel with LED flash that ensures photography in dim light condition. For the selfies of acceptable quality, it is equipped with 0.3 MP camera. For the storage of videos, audios, applications and text files, it comes loaded with an internal memory of 4 GB which can be further expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The device has 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS as its connectivity attributes. It also support FM Radio and 3.5mm jack for the entertainment purpose. Messaging facilities of the phone includes SMS, MMS, Email and push Email. For the backup, it is fueled with 2000 mAh battery.
