Karbonn telecommunications is a firm in India which was founded in March, 2009. It is a joint venture mobile manufacturing company between Bangalore-based UTL Group and Delhi-based Jaina Group. The company has announced the A51 Plus, a dual SIM phone in May, 2014. The box packs a handset, battery, charger, earphone, user manual and a warranty card. Design and Display

Karbonn A51 Plus is designed by using a bar format and has gently curved edges. The device comes with a VGA touchscreen of 3.5-inches which provides a resolution of 480x320 pixels. The front panel features only three feather touch soft keys for options, home and back which are well responsive to the input signals.

Hardware and Software

The Karbonn A51 Plus is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and a RAM of 256 MB. The phone has an internal memory of 512 MB which can be expanded to another 32 GB with the use of a micro SD card. Karbonn A51 Plus runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

The A51 Plus is a dual SIM device that operates on GSM 900/1800 MHz frequencies. The device has the capacity to store a limited number of contacts. There is a SMS, MMS, IM and email like messaging and emailing facilities available for this phone. It is also featured with T9 dictionary and predictive text input which helps in typing.

Camera

Karbonn A51 Plus has a 3 MP rear camera with LED flash, digital zoom and takes 2048x1536 resolution pictures. While the secondary camera has a 0.3 MP count which enables the users to video conferencing.

Multimedia

The device comes equipped with a music player and FM radio for the listening pleasure. On the other hand, video player and recorder gives you an amazing viewing experience with solid surround sound. There are number of polyphonic, MP3, MIDI, WAV and AMR ring-tones available for the A51 Plus.

The connectivity options available for the phone includes GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 82.11 b/g, Bluetooth v4.0, micro USB v2.0 and hands-free connectivity. It also features A-GPS which helps in navigation. The device is energized by a Li-Ion 1100 mAh battery to ensure better usage time.
