Overview

Karbonn Titanium Hexa is a latest dual SIM smartphone by Indian company Karbonn which was announced in March 2014 in a press conference in New Delhi and will be released by the end of April. It is the first ever smartphone by any Indian manufacturer to feature the latest Android v4.4, KitKat and by any manufacturer of world to feature MediaTek's hexa core processor.

Design and Dimensions

It has got an unibody design with the back panel comprises of a metallic portion in the middle and a plastic portion (having matte finish) at the top and bottom of it and thin metallic strips at its sides It has a height of 154mm, a width of 76.8mm and a thickness of 6.9mm as its dimensions.

Display and Memory Storage

Karbonn Titanium Hexa has got a 5.5-inch capacitive and multi-touch, LTPS (Low Temperature PolySilicon) LCD display touchscreen with a full HD resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, 401ppi pixel density, 16.7M color depth, scratch-resistant glass and Oleophobic coating(to prevent fingerprint accumulation). It has also got a RAM of 2GB along with an internal memory of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD memory card slot.

Processor and Operating System

It is an Android v4.4.2, KitKat OS based smartphone with a 1.5GHz hexa core processor and a MediaTek MT6591 chipset.

Sensors and Other Features

Some remarkable sensors such as accelerometer, proximity, compass, ambient light and gyroscope and a lot of other feature which includes a loudspeaker, a 3.5mm audio jack, HTML5 browser, Java via MIDP emulator, FM radio, active noise cancellation with a dedicated mic, an organizer, an audio and a video player with a lot of supported formats, a document viewer, a photo viewer/editor, voice memo/dial and many more.

Camera

Karbonn Titanium Hexa has got a 13.0MP rear camera with a resolution of 4128x3096 pixels, digital zoom, smile detection with auto capture, auto focus, LED flash, touch focus, panorama mode, geo-tagging and full HD video playback and recording. It also has a 5.0MP front camera for selfies and video calling.

Texting and Messaging

For messaging, it has got SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email, IM and integrated social networking sites along with predictive text input.

Connectivity Options

For internet data and connectivity, it includes GPRS and EDGE, a Bluetooth 4.0, a v2.0 micro USB port, WLAN feature with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and hotspot, GPS with A-GPS support and high 3G speeds (HSDPA, HSUPA).

Battery and Shades

It is available in Black, White shade and will be available soon at a price of INR. 16,990 in the Indian market. It has also got a powerful Li-Po 2050mAh battery which can provide an excellent stand by time and talk time. It runs on 2G(GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G(UMTS 900/2100 MHz) network frequencies.
