Samsung Metro 312 is a dual SIM handset announced in July, 2014. It is a bar shaped phone which works on 2G (GSM 900/1800 MHz) network frequency. It is a budget phone and the user can get this product at a price of INR 2,644 in 'White' shade only. The box content includes a headset, charger, battery, USB cable and user manual.

It supports a 2-inch TFT QQVGA display that features a resolution of 160x128 pixels with 65 million color support. The screen is too small for browsing and playing games. The dimensions of the phone are measured as 112.7 x 46.4 x 13.1 mm and weighing 73.7 grams. The device has a sleek outlook which makes this handset attractive and easy to use.

The Samsung mobiles has powered this mobile phone with a Single-Core, 208 MHz processor and runs on Proprietary operating system. It boasts a 16GB expandable memory which can be used by inserting memory card slot. On the rear side, the compact device has a poor 0.3MP camera with digital zoom that flaunts a picture resolution of 640x480 pixels. There is no front camera provided by the company for self portraits and video calling.

In order to give an uninterrupted service to the users, it houses a Li-ion 1,000 mAh battery which offers a great talk-time of 12 hours along with decent stand-by time. Connectivity wise, it comes packed with options such as Bluetooth v3.0, handsfree, USB port and GPRS. As far as multimedia section is concerned, it offers common attributes like 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, image viewer, music player that supports formats such as MP3, M4A, AAC, WMA, AMR, MID, MIDI, XMF, IMY, video player supporting formats i.e. MP4, 3GP, games and voice recording. The SMS and MMS service enables you to connect with friends and relatives via texting and messaging.
