YotaPhone C6690 Launched in India, priced at Rs 23,499

Yota is basically a Russian brand, a smartphone manufacturer with a trademark of Skartel LLC. Jumbo electronics which is an IT Telecom, a distributor and electronics retailer out of India, has collaborated with the well known online shopping site Flipkart in India to exclusively launch Yotaphone C6690 which is said to be the world's first dual screen smartphone.

Talking about the specifications, this smartphone has a screen display of 4.3 inch with a display resolution of (1280x720 pixels) and LCD capacitive multi-touch screen. On the other hand, the secondary display is 4.3 E-Ink on the rear with a resolution (640x360 pixels). It is powered by 1.7GHz dual core processor and comes up with 2GB of RAM which also comprises 32GB internal storage.

The hotspot for this phone is its dual touch screen displays- an LCD primary display and a E-Ink electronic paper display as a secondary screen. The secondary screen is always on and can be used to attend calls, show notifications, social media updates, weather updates, calendar reminders and with this you can also go through e-books. This kind of screen is also used in e-readers like kobo and kindle and does not harm eyes. Basically this conjoins a smartphone and e- reader into one system. One can save information and images on the secondary screen and it stays there even when there is no battery power.

The device has the company's patented software that ensures information to be shared and used between YotaPhone's both the screens.

This phone bids a rear camera of 13 megapixel with autofocus, LED flash, a secondary camera of 1 megapixel and with this it has a battery backup of 1800mAh which according to the company ensures that it is ten times better than the other smartphones. Turning onto the software, the smartphone runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It also has the connectivity options which include 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0
