Sony to launch Xperia Z1 Compact in India for INR 35000

Sony recently unveiled a compact yet powerful and fully loaded Android smartphone at the CES 2014. Dubbed as Xperia Z1 Compact, it is equipped with a 4.3-inch display with HD resolution (1280x720 pixels). The phone is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can further be expanded with the help of a memory card up to 64GB.

The primary camera of Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is 20.7MP with Exmor RS sensor, HDR photos & video and it can record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. The front-facing camera is 2MP and you can record HD (1280x720) videos through it. The phone is just 9.5mm thick, the height is 127mm, width is 64.9mm and it weighs 137 grams. One of the much hyped features is that Xperia Z1 Compact is water-proof and dust-proof like other recent Xperia Z-series smartphones.

The connectivity options include 3G, 4G, EDGE, GPRS, NFC, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS with GLONASS. The phone is equipped with a 2300mAh battery with Stamina Mode, which provides 670 hours of standby time and 10 hours of talk-time. Xperia Z1 Compact is available in four eye-catching shades: White, Black, Lime and Pink. It is expected to go on-sale in India in a few days with an expected price tag of INR 35000 (approx., may vary).
